BRCOA is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on membership fees, the generosity of our community and government grants to fund meaningful improvements in our community. Every contribution, big or small, goes directly toward projects that enhance safety, protect our environment and help maintain the quality of life we all value along the Bird River.

Looking ahead, BRCOA aims to enhance the shared spaces where our community gathers, including adding park benches, fishing line disposal stations, and thoughtful touches like flower pots and hanging baskets.

Community AEDs

An automated external defibrillator (AED) can mean the difference between life and death in a sudden cardiac emergency, where every minute without treatment drastically lowers survival chances.

Dog Waste Stations

Installing dog waste stations provides members with a convenient, reliable way to clean up after their pets, helping keep shared spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. They also promote responsible pet ownership and reduce environmental impact.

Bird River Fire (EA061) - One Year Anniversary

One year ago, our community changed. What began as a wildfire near Bird River quickly grew into one of the largest and most destructive fires in Manitoba history.
