Support the Bird River community in 2026
If you own property or live in the Bird River area, whether seasonally or year-round, you are welcome to become a member of Bird River Cottage Owners Association (BRCOA) and support the Bird River community in 2026.
BRCOA is a volunteer, non-profit association that helps bring our community together, shares information with members and provides a collective voice on issues that affect the Bird River area.
2026 Fee Assessment
For 2026, BRCOA has introduced a new fee assessment for both current and new members.
The 2026 fee assessment is $25 per property and supports the Association’s activities, communication, community initiatives and ongoing work on issues affecting the Bird River area.
Under BRCOA’s current constitution, membership remains active as long as a member owns, leases, or seasonally rents property in the Bird River area and remains in good standing, including payment of the most recent fee assessment.
Moving Toward an Annual Membership Model
BRCOA is also working toward a clearer annual membership model, with membership renewals occurring annually during the May Long Weekend.
A proposed constitutional amendment to formalize this annual membership model will be presented to members at the Fall 2026 AGM. Until that amendment is considered by the membership, the 2026 payment should be understood as a fee assessment under the current constitution, not yet a permanent change to the membership structure.

via e-transfer to: birdrivercoa@gmail.com. Please include your full name, and cottage address in the message and send your completed membership form to the same email separately.
Donations
Members may also choose to include an optional donation to support BRCOA community improvement projects and initiatives. Donations help support future projects such as community gathering spaces, park benches, fishing line disposal stations, seasonal planters, water testing, and other initiatives that benefit the Bird River community.
